America’s largest homebuilders are sending a clear signal, and that is that the housing market is cooling. In their latest earnings reports, D.R. Horton and PulteGroup have ranked first and third nationally by volume and have each posted a net income decline of over 24%. These are significant declines and they’re happening across the board. Lennar, another top builder, posted similar softness in recent quarters reinforcing this as an “industry-wide adjustment”.
